Troy Cawthan - Managing Director
Troy is an experienced Project Manager and as Managing Director of SMP Engineering is also the Principle Engineer for the company. Troy holds Engineering and Project Management qualifications and has experience working with "blue chip" clients including Argyle Diamonds, BHP Billiton, Iluka, Rio Tinto Iron Ore and Tiwest. Troy has also held senior roles in the resource sector and managed project teams for large construction projects including Alcan Gove, BHP Billiton - Kwinana Nickel Refinery and the Water Corporation. Troy has led many project teams and "hit squads" to drive projects where momentum, schedule and quality integrity had been lost. All the work led in this environment has delivered projects back on schedule and with zero lost time injuries.
Trent Bettesworth - Operations Manager
Trent brings over 10 years experience working for service and engineering companies supporting the Mining and Resource industry. He is responsible for SMP's operations with a focus on human resources, industrial relations and safety. Holding formal qualifications in management and OH&S, Trent ensures the internal systems at SMP are followed to ultimately deliver outstanding results for SMP clients.
Peta Betteswoth - Financial Controller
Peta is an experienced Financial Controller with over 9 years in the engineering space. Holding a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Peta is responsible for SMP’s payroll, compliance to statutory requirements and ensuring the supply chain is maintained with the upmost integrity. In addition to this, she has 7 years’ experience in human resources with the federal Government giving her a broad range of practical skills that are vital to SMP’s success.
